Enjoy a live performance by a young artist from Amy’s Yard, the Amy Winehouse Foundation’s music programme.

Shakira Alleyne is a 21 year old songwriter born and raised in London. She has a deep interest in creative writing and uses this skill to write lyrics about difficult experiences in an innovative way that people can relate to. Her sound has qualities from a range of genres with a primarily ambient feel.

The Amy Winehouse Foundation works to prevent the effects of drug and alcohol misuse on young people. It aims to support, inform and inspire vulnerable and disadvantaged young people to help them reach their full potential. Amy’s Yard is a 12-week programme designed to provide vulnerable young artists aged 18-25, with the confidence and skills to become self-sustaining music artists.
