As part of Armed Forces Week the Jewish Museum puts to the forefront the stories of British Jewish servicemen and women in the Armed Forces.
It showcases the diverse collection of equipment, military memorabilia, documents and photographs on long-term loan from the Jewish Military Museum.
A short presentation and surgery session with military historian and Ajex archivist Martin Sugarman will help anybody interested to do their own military history research. If you are stuck in your own research bring along your documents or photographs and he might be able to help you.
There will also be a chance to look closely at some objects at the object handling desk, and Curator Kathrin Pieren will lead a tour of the galleries, introducing you to highlights of the military collection
During the whole day there will be free self-led activities for families with small children inspired by the military collection in our Welcome Gallery. For those who visit the galleries a free children’s trail contains fun learning activities about military history.
