Where are education programmes taking place while the Museum is closed for redevelopment?

The Education Officers will only be at the synagogue for pre-arranged groups.
How do we reach the West London Synagogue by public transport?
By Bus
Any bus to Marble Arch.
By Road
Coach parties may be set down and collected outside the synagogue. There is a car park for coaches on Park Lane.
By London Underground
5 minutes’ walk from Marble Arch underground station (Central line), and 15 minutes from Edgware Road underground station (Bakerloo, District, Circle and Hammersmith & City lines).
Can we visit a synagogue too?
Yes, pupils are also able to tour this historical and beautiful 19th synagogue.
Can we eat at the Museum?
Pupils are welcome to bring vegetarian packed lunches to the synagogue. Please speak to an Education Officer if you are planning to have lunch at the synagogue.
If you do arrange to eat lunch with us, we ask that teachers ensure that rooms are left clean and tidy after use.
How many children can we bring?
There is no maximum group size.
How much will it cost?
Costs vary depending on half day and full day programmes, and on materials used.
What time can we visit?
The Museum’s Education Officers welcome school visits, with sessions usually starting at 10.30am and 2pm.
How long does a visit last?
You should allow two hours for a half-day visit, although it may be possible to vary this, depending on your requirements. Day visits are arranged according to your timetable.
What should we bring?
Pupils should bring something to write with. Clipboards are available at the synagogue. If you will need any other items, we will advise you before your visit.
