Development Project Update

Proposed design for the café and the medieval mikve * Proposed floor plan for the History Gallery * Proposed design for the Holocaust Education Gallery

A World Class Museum for a World City

On Monday, 3 September 2007 the Jewish Museum (at both its Camden Town and Finchley sites) closed to the public after a highly successful and well-attended Open Day with enjoyable arts and crafts activities for children.

Building work has now commenced at the Camden Town site to create the new Jewish Museum. The Development Project is due to take 18 months and will transform the visitor experience, creating a cultural and educational resource of national and international significance.

To find out more about the development project visit the Exhibition Project Leader's blog.

While the Museum is closed for redevelopment, it will continue a lively programme of education, events and touring exhibitions.
