Join & Support Us
As an independent museum and registered charity, the Jewish Museum depends on support from members of the public. Unlike other major Jewish museums in Europe, the Jewish Museum in London does not receive any public funding towards its running costs and activities. Your help is needed to enable it to continue its work in preserving Jewish heritage, increasing knowledge about Jewish life and history, and working to promote interfaith understanding and to combat racism and prejudice.
There are many ways in which you can support the Jewish Museum - through becoming a Friend of the Museum, making a donation, remembering the Museum in your Will, attending fundraising events, or through sponsorship of our exhibitions or educational projects. You can also help us by donating suitable material for the collections, or supporting our ongoing work to conserve the collections.
Volunteers also play an important role in the work of the Jewish Museum. When the Museum re-opens in 2009, a team of volunteers will be needed to help run the front-of-house facilities. While the Museum is closed to the public, volunteers can assist in other areas of our work such as collections documentation, marketing and publicity, organising events or speaking to groups. If you feel you have some skill that you could offer to the Museum, please contact us on 020 8371 7373.
