This innovative multimedia display introduces you to different Jewish people living in Britain today, showing them in the context of their everyday lives.

Through the diversity of their backgrounds, experiences and opinions, you can start to understand what it means to be Jewish in modern, multicultural Britain. Discover the many ways there are of being Jewish – from the occasional bowl of chicken soup to the full Sabbath experience!

This medieval ritual bath, one of the most important archaeological finds relating to Anglo-Jewry, was excavated in 2001 in Milk Street in the City of London. It is the starting point for both the historical and religious stories that are told throughout the museum displays.

The lobby and stairwells feature more key objects from the collections, including a painted banner from the London Jewish Bakers' Union.
