Participants learn about the power of the object and its role in the telling of history in this interactive workshop. Drawing on objects from the Museum’s collection, pupils handle a yellow star, a passport, a hidden spice box and a Kindertransport child’s suitcase. Each object conveys a powerful story and enables participants to contextualise the history of Jewish people in World War II; reflect on their learning; discover more about child refugees today and consider how they can learn from the past and actively respond to make an impact today
