Intensive in-service courses are available for teachers and trainee teachers, including full-day, half-day and twilight sessions covering subject knowledge, issues of planning, delivery and assessment of religious education, Holocaust education and the topic of immigration.
We are happy to provide teachers with knowledge about the Jewish religion, culture and everyday life, creative ways of delivering their agreed syllabus, methods of teaching comparative religion or even just to provide teachers with an 'any questions' forum.
History and Holocaust education
Teachers are guided on how to use documents, photographs and testimonies to achieve quality learning, the opportunities for developing the moral and spiritual dimension and cross-curricular links. In-service training sessions can be arranged in conjunction with the hire of one of the museum’s touring exhibitions, or as a stand-alone course.
All education programmes must be booked in advance. For more information on educational activities at the Jewish Museum please contact our education officers on +44 (0)20 7284 7384 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
