We begin by considering what a museum is, its purpose, and why we have a Jewish Museum. Pupils will explore the gallery Judaism: A Living Faith and consider which objects have been chosen to reflect Judaism. They will then take on the role of curators to consider what they would put in a museum of their own or another faith. This part of the session can be continued after the visit, to create a mini museum of another or many faiths back at school. Basic knowledge of Judaism required.
