Festival focus

In the Autumn term students can learn about the festival of Chanukah.

In the Spring Term students can learn about the festival of Passover.

In the Summer Term students can learn about the festivals of Rosh Hashannah and Yom Kippur.

All sessions deal with how Jewish people express their beliefs in practice and consider how festivals are celebrated. Sessions may include drama, for example acting out a story from Jewish history, art and craft activities, such as painting a Passover plate, tasting food connected to the festival or handling related ritual objects.
