To ensure you have the best experience at the Jewish Museum we strongly recommend booking a workshop. If you would prefer to organise your own visit we ask that you complete the enquiry form above.
Costs are £3 plus VAT per pupil and £6 plus VAT per adult
NB If you have booked a workshop the charge to stay for a self guided visit is £1 plus VAT per student. There will be no additional charge for adults.

Please also note that additional travel costs may be charged for outreach workshops depending on your school's location and the resources required for the workshop. This cost is assesed on an individual booking basis.
Museum outreach workshops are always delivered by members our experienced freelance team and therefore dates are dependent on their availability.

Intensive in-service courses are available for teachers and trainee teachers covering subject knowledge, issues of planning, delivery and assessment of religious education, Holocaust education and the topic of immigration.
You can bring your team to the museum for an INSET day and the Learning Team will design a seminar to fit your needs. Activities include a tour of the museum galleries, object-handling and the importance of objects as springboards to discussion and the chance to ask your questions about Judaism, what it means to be Jewish today, and teaching about immigration and Holocaust.
We can guide you on creative ways of delivering your syllabus and methods on how to use museum workshops and resources to achieve quality learning.
Costs of an Inset session: £150 plus VAT per 2 hour session. Maximum group size 25.

2) The Learning Team Administrator will contact you about your enquiry form and will send you you a Booking Request Form to complete. (Please note that if your preferred dates or workshops are not available we will offer you the next free date we have).
3) Send the completed Booking Request Form back to the Learning Administrator.
4) A confirmation email with your confirmed booking details will be sent to you along with a document detailing important information for your visit. Until you receive confirmation of your booking by e-mail your visit has not been confirmed. Once you have received a booking confirmation email our cancellation policy will apply.
It is advisable that all bookings are made at least 1 month in advance to ensure your preferred dates are available.

Please note that we work on a first come, first served basis and that the enquiry form is an expression of interest and that we are unable to reserve dates until a completed booking form is received.
We have limited available space and we will try our best to match your needs to our resources.
Whilst we do not have a dedicated lunch space in the museum, bookings for a full day of workshops will have the use of the workshops space for students to use in their lunch break. Alternatively Regent’s Park is a 10 minute walk away.
The Jewish Museum offers a wide range of workshops encouraging students to enjoy a positive and rewarding learning experience. Workshops are arranged in four strands, Discovering Judaism, Exploring History, Investigating the Holocaust and Revealing Arts.

Coach: Booked school visits arriving by coach can be set down and picked up opposite the Museum in Albert Street. Information about coach parking is available from the Learning Administrator.
Students are welcome to bring a vegetarian packed lunch to the Museum, provided this is arranged in advance. If you do arrange to eat lunch with us, we ask that teachers ensure that rooms are left clean and tidy after use.
The Museum has a Kosher café which can provide lunch if booked in advance. When booking your visit you can arrange for your students to bring their own vegetarian packed lunch and we will endeavor to provide a lunch space for them. Please discuss this with the Administrator when you make your booking. Limitations depend on dates and which workshops you are interested in.
Morning workshops run 10am - 12pm
Afternoon workshops run 12.30 - 2.30pm
Please speak to the Learning Administrator to discuss the possibility of flexible start and end times of workshops.
You should allow two hours for a half-day workshop, although it is possible to vary this depending on your requirements.
If you need any other items, we will advise you before your visit.
You can take photographs around the Museum in spaces such as the Education Space and the Auditorium. No flash photography is allowed in the Museum galleries.
Yes. Please be aware that we are unable to seat a large group as the café is used by the public.
Yes. There is a range of pocket money priced items and we suggest that it is best to send small groups of students to the shop during lunchtime or after the workshop. Please note that the museum shop will close early on Fridays for Shabbat.
